New Build Infrastructure
Delivering Ready-to-Go Broadband for Homeowners Nationwide
Providing Essential Connectivity to New Developments
Prestige Optical was awarded 50% of a national New Build Infrastructure project, tasked with installing fibre broadband infrastructure across newly built residential developments. This large-scale programme spanned both Single Dwelling Units (SDUs) and Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), with a core objective of ensuring that homes were broadband-ready the moment new homeowners completed and moved in.
Challenge
In today’s digital-first world, new homeowners expect reliable broadband access from day one. Any delay in activation can lead to customer frustration and lost commercial opportunities for our ISP partners. Our key challenge was to stay ahead of occupancy dates and ensure infrastructure was installed and tested in time.
Solution
Prestige Optical adopted a proactive and structured delivery model focused on ensuring broadband readiness for new homeowners:
- Early Developer Collaboration: Engaging early with developers to understand schedules and site specifics.
- ISP Alignment: Close coordination with ISPs to sync deployment with activation.
- Proactive Tracking: Staying ahead of build schedules to ensure timely readiness.
- Site-Specific Execution: Expertly handling MDU internal infrastructure and swift SDU fibre installations, adapting to each site's needs.
Delivering Success
Our proactive collaboration ensured seamless connectivity for new homeowners from day one:
- Pre-Occupancy Readiness: Consistently achieving infrastructure readiness before residents moved in, minimising delays.
- High-Quality Installs: Low fault rates demonstrated strong build quality and fewer service disruptions.
- Scalable Activation: Successfully activating thousands of plots on schedule, meeting regional demands.
- Efficient Issue Resolution: Minimising downtime through rapid fault identification and resolution.
